→ State a sticky situation you were in (the overall problem)

e.g. I was always quiet in meetings at work.

→ Explain what life was like (emotionally and physically)

e.g. Good ideas, but was never loud or confident enough to voice them in a group meeting situation. I’d be there, taking notes, writing things down for later.

It was post-meeting I’d come alive.

I’d drop a little email saying ‘had this idea’ and then push a 1 to 1 with my boss.

→ Shed light on the obstacles you faced (the thing that held you back)

e..g. My teachers always thought I wasn’t paying attention or didn’t care because I wasn’t being vocal or putting my hand up for anything.

→ Call to the ‘aha’ moment (the moment things changed)

e.g. Now I run my own one person business, it pays to be quiet I find.

Listening to people’s problems is a lucrative skill.

→ Explain the steps you had to take (specific things)

e.g. I listen to your problem. I document it. I create a solution. You pay me to solve it for you.

I tell you about it by writing content.

The perfect situation for me personally.

Never have to be loud, can quietly go about my business doing it how I want.

→ Skip to end result (solution/lesson)

e.g. The biggest lesson for me here:

A personality trait that was once a negative isn’t always a negative.

You might just need a different environment to turn it into a positive.
